Live Work

School District 91 is the governing body for the public schools within the Nechako-Lakes area.  Within the municipality there are two public schools, William Konkin Elementary and the Lakes District Secondary School.  The Morris Williams Elementary  is located on the Lake Babine Nation reserve and children from K to 7 attend school there.

The high school draws students from around the Lakes District.  There are three rural elementary schools within the Lakes District, Decker Lake Elementary, Francios Lake Elementary and Grassy Plains School
