INTERIM HOUSING NEEDS REPORT
The Village of Burns Lake has updated its Housing Needs Report. Residents were encouraged to share their input through an open survey until November 29th at 11:59 pm.

The Housing Needs Report provides a way to identify gaps in current housing, highlight barriers to finding and maintaining housing, and project future needs across the housing spectrum.

In 2023, the Government of BC introduced new legislation aimed at increasing housing density and supply. This legislation requires local governments to update their Housing Needs Reports, with an Interim Report due by January 1, 2025, and a comprehensive report by December 31, 2028.
