Properties located within a Development Permit Area, as identified in the Village’s Official Community Plan, require a Development Permit. In most cases, this applies to commercial and multi-family residential developments within the Village.

Development Permit applications and guides are linked below. For Building Permits, please contact the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako at 250-692-3195.

The Development Services Department helps guide growth and development within the Village of Burns Lake. Services include land use planning, development applications, civic addressing, sustainability planning, and mapping. For online mapping access, please visit the RDBN Web Mapping Site.
