Resource Benefit Alliance

The Northwest BC Resource Benefits Alliance (RBA) was created with a clear and essential purpose: to secure a funding agreement with the Province of British Columbia that ensures more of the industry-generated revenue in our region stays in our communities. For the Government Street Active Transportation Improvement Project, the Village leveraged $221,000 in RBA funding to successfully secure a $500,000 Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure Active Transportation grant, along with additional ICBC Vision Zero funding. Together, these investments enabled major upgrades to Government Street that enhance active transportation routes throughout the Village and support ongoing downtown revitalization efforts.
